Fencing Résumé of Stephan Khinoy

A Harvard Graduate, Coach Khinoy began his fencing career as a member of the Harvard Varsity Team.  He earned his PhD from John Hopkins University in 1968 and continued his fencing studies with several notable Coaches. 

In 1976 he began to share his knowledge and skill of fencing by instructing at several Fencing Clubs and Educational Institutions such as the Rochester Fencing Club (President 1977-1978), College of Staten Island (Women's Varsity Coach. Cuny Champions 1985-86, 1986-87), Tottenville Highschool ( Varsity Coach, PSAL Division I Champions 1987) and Oak Knoll School (VarsityHead Coach, NJ State Fencing Champions 1997-98, 1998-99).

He has and continues to serve on numerous Boards including the New York Metropolitan Division of the USFA, United States Fencing Association and the USFA Fencing Hall of Fame.

He established the Staten Island Fencing Club in 1979 and served as President from 1980 to 2000.  He continues as Head Coach of the SIFC and is currently Vice President of the Board of Directors.   He is a member of the USFA and the United States Fencing Coaches Association.  Coach Khinoy provides both group and private instruction in foil, saber and epée.
